A website change request works best when it tells us where the change belongs, exactly what should change, and when it matters. You can send it through the support request form and attach the finished content.
Choose the kind of change
A small change updates an existing page: correcting a phone number, replacing a photo or changing business hours. These may fit within the monthly support time included in a care plan.
A larger change creates or redesigns something: a new page, a new form, a booking flow or a new feature. That work may need a quote. You can still start with the same request; describe the outcome you want so Arcane Tech can scope it.
What to include
- Page address: Link every page that needs editing. “The About page” may be enough to start, but the exact URL avoids confusion when there are several similar pages.
- Current and final content: Say what should be removed and supply the approved replacement text. If you have not approved the wording yet, say that you need help writing it.
- Files: Attach the original image, logo, PDF or document where possible. A screenshot of an image in a Word document is usually a poor substitute for the original file.
- Placement: Mark the location on a screenshot or describe the heading near it.
- Timing: State a real deadline and why it matters, such as an event or a promotion. A deadline helps prioritize the request but does not by itself confirm a delivery date.
- Approval: Name the person who can sign off on the finished wording and layout.
For privacy, remove passwords, access codes and payment details before sending a screenshot.
Example: an update to existing content
Subject: Update hours on our Contact page
Page: https://example.com/contact/
Change: Replace “Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.” with “Monday–Thursday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.” Update the same hours in the footer.
Timing: These hours begin October 12. Please tell us if that date is not feasible.
This request is actionable because the page, exact copy, second location and deadline are clear.
Example: a larger request
“Add a page where visitors can book a consultation. We need a calendar, confirmation email and a place to describe the project. We have not selected a booking tool. Please advise on scope and cost before work begins.”
For this kind of request, the goal is clear even though implementation details are undecided. Arcane Tech can discuss the choices and prepare a scope rather than guessing what “add booking” means.
After you submit
Keep related clarifications and files with the same request. When the change is ready, review the actual page on a phone and a computer if those views matter to you. Check spelling, links, images and any dates or prices. If something needs adjusting, reply with the page address and a precise correction.
